I’ve Seen Enough — Strasburg is the Real Deal

Washington National’s highly hyped pitcher, Stephen Strasburg, made his major league debut last night and flat-out dominated. Albeit a game against the Pittsburg Pirates (arguably a minor league team), Strasburg hit 100mph on the radar gun many times, struck out 14 batters, allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and didn’t walk a single batter. And those 14 strikeouts were 14 ugly strikeouts. Both in his motion and the movement on his pitches this guy reminded me a lot of Pedro Martinez — just a much taller version. If this guy is handled right and stays healthy, he’s got the potential to be the best pitcher in the league.

his pitches are straight nasty. he was embarrassing hitters all night. im sure the league will catch up to him after he throws a few more times but def has serious potential to be a dominant pitcher for years to come.
