Ole Miss vs. Jacksonville State — College Football’s Best Game

While howiGit’s blog covers the entirety of the world of sport, college football has never been our main passion. That being said, college football season kicked off this weekend, and as usual there were a plethora of great games. My winner of the weekend was easily Jacksonville State upsetting Ole Miss 49-48 in double overtime. I think it’s safe to say this is by far the best game of the 2010 college football season. Plus, you gotta love seeing Ole Miss lose. No player worth my time have ever come out of that school, anyway. Check it out.

A great finish. I watched it live, but only saw the overtimes as the game was not covered. I heard Jacksonville made a great comeback to tie the game, then in the second OT went for the win with a 2 point conversion and got it.

Great Ole Miss players- Eli Manning, Michael Orr.

Also, last nights primetime top 25 matchup of Virginia Tech and Boise State was a great game.

    • “Eli Manning” and “great” should never be used in the same sentence — it’s a basic rule of grammar taught to all elementary school children these days. A great game for sure, though.

Tons of great games this weekend. That ECU game was awesome and even the Presbyterian/Wake Forest game had that sick bounce pass play (look it up if u didnt see it).. I’m normally not a big college football guy, but this weekend had some great games.
